Where did my Contacts go?

Help – I can’t find my Contacts for Outlook! I went from Windows XP to Windows 7. I also went from Office 2002 to Office 2007. I used the Windows Easy Transfer process and the “Window.old” file is on my hard drive. The problem is that my Contacts from old Outlook are not in my new Outlook Contacts folder. I can’t find them anywhere. I have searched the “Windows.old” folder and everywhere else I can think of, but no luck. I don’t know if this is significant, but none of my e-mail settings transferred either. ( I have set up the accounts manually.)
Is this problem created because I went from Office 2002 to 2007 while going to Windows 7? If so, should I install Office 2002 and see if I can find the files? After three hours of searching for a solution I’m stumped. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Most likely caused by a different default file storage location for the PST file between the two versions of Office.

In XP, location of Outlook pst file is C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\.

Copy it to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook in Win7.

Unfortunately, there is no "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\" in the Windows.old file. Could Easy Transfer have deleted that data? Thanks
