I prefer Office 2007 to previous version - in Word there is an *extensive* equation writer that allowed me to write the following home work assignment: (Word 2007 format)

    HW5.zip

In addition, although it may *seem* like it is complicated as heck, help is right there, and it works like it's supposed to, and the *capabilities of the programs far exceeds that of previous versions.

*and* you can make it look like the old 2003 if you want.

I'd say that is the best of both worlds - like XP using the old Windows 2000 minimalist interface.

Who said 03 has more options? Do you not know how to get to the old options screens from any ribbon button? You guys have got to be kidding. 07 works way faster and better and more efficient than 03. Quit basing everything on the damn color of the toolbar, who cares.

    Eh...IDK. 2003 seems faster than 2007.

I agree to disagree. I find that I can use the 2007 much more efficiently than 2003. But, 2003 starts up faster.

    I'd buy 2007 over 2003

I'm speaking of the time it takes to save a document; 2003 seems faster. Not talking about starting up.

Oh. 2003 is faster in that case, too.

    I'd still pick '07, though.

Office 2003 uses too much blue by default. Especially when you install it on Windows XP, with the default Luna theme.
