    I dunno about O2010 ... I still [happily] use O2003.

It's not done. There have been some stories saying that it's possible office will eventually move to cloud computing...but that's going to come after Office 2010 has been released.

It depends on the magic site in question as to whether the info is valid.

However since I don't posses Unicorn mind reading powers, I have little idea what magic site you are referring to.

That's great news, seeing as how I'm currently using it.

I'm guessing the OP is referring to bit torrent sites. I've seen torrents advertised as being the final release version of office 2010. I'm still using office 2003 and not switching until I have no choice.

I think you're right. Although any release I've seen has been nuked.

I haven't been keeping track of whether thats the actual final or not.

At any rate, I'm happy to wait for it to be released on Technet.

After spending the last six months testing the beta of Office 2010 64 bit version there is no doubt in my mind once the beta has expired that the new store bought version will find a place on my computer.

The 64 bit version is smooth, fast, and any other adjective you can think of that indicates it is an excellent built.

I'll try it once it's released to technet, if all the problems I had with outlook 2010 beta are fixed then I will switch, but if not then it will be back to 2007 for me.
