Pinning "New" and "Open" Word document to start menu

Using Word 2007, I am unable to pin the "New" and "Open" Word Document to the Start Menu. I was able to do this in XP and Vista. I go to "All Programs" and can load Word but cannot find the options new/open. In Word I go to "Word Options" and it is not listed there either. Thanks.

ADKR,
I note that you have posted this question in Microsoft's Discussion Groups - Windows 7 - Word 2007 in Word General Questions.
Some reasonable replies were given to you that you didn't respond to. Did you actually try them?

This Tutorial written by our Brink would seem to be a reasonable alternative for you to use.
