Windows 7 - Outlook 2010 Search

Outlook 2010 Search

In Outlook 2007, when you search a folder, the default is to do a simple search. If you need more complex searching, you can open the search box to display more fields.

In Outlook 2010, as soon as you select the search field, a yellow window opens with a number of fields to narrow the search. I have Outlook configured to display five message headers in each folder. When the yellow box opens, it takes up the space of two headers, so only three can be seen. This is not as efficient to peruse.

Is there a way to not have the yellow box open unless I want it to?

Thanks for your help.
