Windows 7: is it possible to install both office 2003 n 2007

is it possible to install both office 2003 n 2007

on the same computer, as i am still unfamiliar with office 2007

yes it is.

I have all three 2003,2007, and 2010 on the same machine in the same partition.

Yes, just choose custom install in Office Setup.

Office 2003 and Office 2007

Things to consider if you MUST install Office 2003 and 2007+

Office 2003 and Office 2007+ use different versions of Visual Basic. At some point there is a likely possibility that you will experience a problem as a result of having the two installations.

Office 2003 and 2007+ tend to fight for ownership of files, Word 2007 one day then Word 2003 the next. The end-user will have to open the desired application and browse to the file. In a tandem installation the days of clicking a file and expecting Office to open with the intended version are gone!

Also at some point larger issues develop. I haven't been able to pinpoint the cause but it is likely caused when installing Visio 2007 or Project 2007. If the end-user is not careful and installs to default locations certain Office files get overwritten. All additional installations become custom and the file destinations need to be different.

Wow, really?

I have Office 2007 and have been thinking about "upgrading" to Office 2010 (not happy about the lack of an "upgrade price" -- but that is another topic) and have read that you CAN install 2010 "along side" 2007.

My thought in doing that would be to then remove it if I don't like 2010. But I don't want to "damage" my 2007 version in the process.

So, would this work?

Well, it would work with the exception of Outlook because as noted before, you can only have one version of Outlook installed at a time.

Well it still seems unclear....

Shall I go with the normal way of installation of MS Office 2003?I have MS Office 2007 installed already

When I will be opening an MS Excel Worksheet,will it open in 2003 or 2007?

Actually I need to run a VBA Project that was made in Excel 2003 but itz not working with Excel 2007

Plzz help...thanx in advnce
