Windows 7 - Outlook 2010 and Google Calender Sync

For anyone who has upgraded to office 2010 from 2007 and lost the ability to synchronize their Google calender using the Google software

I have found a workaround although this does involve hacking the Google program or outlook .

I have followed the first option here ....

and can confirm that it works

I have tested the hacked copy of the program and as stated in the webpage can find no issues or malware - but this is a personal choice to do this - I have not checked the outlook hack and would not advise this personally.

I do not advise or approve the use of hacks generally but as Google have not given any idea as to their plans for fixing the program although it has been known to be a problem since the pre-beta of outlook 2010 I have decidec to use this until Google make the changes
