Windows 7: change where WORD defaults to for saving

change where WORD defaults to for saving

I need to change the default where my WORD docs get saved.

They go to "My Documents" now.

I want them to go to "My documents shortcut"

NOTE: "My documents" says "empty folder"

"My documents shortcut" contains all my files, so I want my WORD docs to default there.

Don't ask me how this happened, I don't know, and my previous thread to fix this seemed to confuse everyone.

thanks,

Dennis

First, if you don't like the name of the file location, why not copy your files back to My Documents, and then delete the My Documents shorcut folder?

After that, go into Word's options by clicking the Orb, and then on the Save tab, you can specify the default locations. This is assuming you have Office 2007.
