    MS thinks I'm in another country

    OS: Win7 Ultimate
    Office: Pro Plus 2010 downloaded from TechNet
    App: Word 2010
    I have a hyperlink in a word .docx document. When Ctrl-clicking on the link, I get the MS window saying that MS security essentials is not supported in my country. Made 100% certain--country code is set to US-en.
    Can feed link directly into my browser and am sent to correct site.

    Copy & Paste from Word doc:
    Microsoft Security Essentials
    Install MSE --> http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

    Here is a snip of where I land:

    First, have you tried IE?

    Second, are you using a "proxy" of any kind? Are you at home or work? Who is your internet provider?

    Perhaps what they're saying is the Microsoft Security Essentials is not available in the US.
    C'mon Karlsnooks... one more post till your 1000th

    P.S. Technically, you are in another country. At least from me, anyway.

    Actually the problem is; what state are you living in (not your state of mind either).
