How do I open multiple Excel 2007 files in separate windows?

Hey,

I want to open multiple Excel 2007 files in separate windows because I have 2 separate monitors. This works with for example Word (just double click on two different word files) but not with Excel.
I read some work-around saying "open the first excel file by double clicking, then open an empty excel file via start button and then open the other file from within the new window."

But surely there is an easier way? For example setting folder options for Excel files?

I have Windows 7, 64-bit if that makes a difference.

Thanks

No it didn't.
Let me try again: I want to open FileA.xls in one instance of Excel and FileB.xls in another. Each of these instances has for example it's own toolbars.
Or if you open two different instances of word as I described in my earlier post and then go to the Windows Task Manager you see two different applications for Word running, but only one for Excel.

Yep you are right. The only way I was able to do it was to manually open excel 2 times and then load the two files. There should be an easier way.

Sorry to hijack this thread.

Is there one for 2003 excel as this is what we use at my work and think this would be great for the company.

This one's is pretty much better. I'm using MS Office 2003.

At first, when I open an Excel Spreadsheet file to edit something and then open another one to copy or compare 2 files but the problem is they can be seen only by switching pages.

I found this trick and followed it step-by-step and now, i can open excel files as much as I wanted and they can be seen all of them without and switching pages.

See it HERE.

I use, double click the first Excel file, then hold down the shift key and double click the next Excel file.
They will be in separate windows.
