    Office 2010 Pro Plus Uninstallation

    Hi,

I last week installed ms office 2010 professional plus trial in my windows 7 os along with office 2007 enterprise. Afterwards i uninstalled the office 2010 and reinstalled the same with different trial key from microsoft site, but in the end of setup process fails the installation and shows error message as below:
"Error 25004.The product key u entered cannot be used on this machine.this is most likely due to previous office 2010 trials installed.(system error-1073422308)".
But I deleted all the registry key except the one following key:

    "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office."

Pls. help me to delete the above and install office 2010 professional plus final.

    Thankx in advance.

    1) AFAIK, only one Professional Plus Trial key can be installed on any given computer EVER. If you install a trial, use it, then uninstall Office and then go back to the Microsoft website and get a new key, the second installation will be rejected with the particular error message you are getting.

    2) However, you can try deleting all left over entries manually and check whether reinstall works. It is not clear to me why you didnt delete the key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office. In addition to that key, delete the key HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office.

Run the MS installer cleanup utility and remove Office 2010 entry. Download from following link.

    http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...BD/msicuu2.exe

Navigate to the C:\Program Files folder and delete any Office folders.

Click Start button, type "%temp" without quotes and hit Enter. Clean out the temp folder.

Restart your computer, then try installing Office with the new trial key.

Well, you could try giving yourself full permissions on the key, then try deleting. That may or may not work.

I'm afraid, thats the max I can help on this issue. It makes eminent sense that MS would not allow unlimited reinstalls of the trial version. If you have already tried out Office 2010 for 60 days, that should be enough time to decide whether you want to buy the product or stick to whatever you are using right now.
