    Questions regarding Office 2010

Hello everyone. Hope all is well. My questions in regards to MS Office 2010 is when I open Outlook it takes me to the home page. It seems I have to go to the outlook data file. I want it to go right to my inbox. If there's a way to do this please feel free to let me know and thanks.

Hi -- Open Outlook and click on Tools, Options, Other, Advanced Options. Click on Browse, Inbox and OK. That should make it open to Inbox.

Now my question is regarding why does it say Microsoft is downloading required feature. Outlook may seem unresponsive. I'm only using the trial for now.

    Why is this happening? Thanks!

Starting with office 2010 Microsoft is rolling out a new software delivery system for some application suites - The "click to run" system starts with the bare essentials only and downloads more as features are used - This is a good systems in many scenarios as only the features that are actually used are installed locally.

This is an extension of the older "install on first use" option for Office and as on average 80% of users only use 20% of office features but often no two users will use the same 20% it does make sense.

The older complete install system is also available for the full version of office

In a short while when all functions required are downloaded this message and any delays will stop

Very good to know Barman58. I'll keep that in mind. I really like it. It's going to take me a bit of time to adjust to it.
