Go to left corner, all programs, find MS word, then right click and send to desktop for a shortcut and it should open.
That's how I set some of MS Office 2007 up.

Right click on your document then go to properties where is says change click on that if Office word is not displayed there is a little arrow to the right that will open a drop down menu look for word in there and then click on it see diagrams.

Why not trying to uninstall MS O7 and doing a re-install or
go into word and under help there should be a repair badge to click on. See if that helps.

I know it is slightly inconvenient but the only other option I would suggest is that you uninstall your office and then re install it.

you might try activating word. Go to Word Options. When it opens, go to the Resources section. Click on run Microsoft Office Diagnostics. If it sees anything, follow its advice. you can also try Activate Microsoft Office and it will activate in Windows, so windows knows that it is activated.
