    WMP 11 for Windows7 x64

Is there any word out there of this ever happening? I know there is a version for x86, why not x 64? I just hate WMP 12. It does not have the functionality I need for my applications. There better media players out there?

Most media players do both - music and video. Maybe you like Winamp ( Download Winamp 5.581 Full - FileHippo.com ) It is pretty fancy.

I gathered it was a music player that you wanted that's precisely why I recommended
Media Player Classic - Home Cinema - Video Player
I use it to play CD's. Can't fault it!

I actually have a huge library of concert tapings that I used to use WMP 11 to keep organized (before upgrading to W7). WMP 12 does not let you drag and drop files into the library to create albums, you cannot copy and paste album art, and it will not sort tracks from the same file source. WMP 12 is a huge disapointment! I tried to use it for my standard music files as well and because of the way that you have to import the files (it batches them all together), I can't even get it to separate tracks to create new albums. i had a huge issue with just trying to delete tracks out of the player. Anyway, I just wish there was a way to use WMP 11 with W7 64 bit!

Did not work for me. I tried a couple of different ways but it either would not install or it would not let me make changes to system 32 folder.

Bad idea i have seen lot of them tried ended up in reinstall Windows.

For music WinAmp or MediaMonkey » Free Media Jukebox, Music Manager, CD Ripper & Converter would be good. For videos try VideoLAN - VLC media player - Open Source Multimedia Framework and Player or Codec Guide: K-Lite Codec Pack - Windows 7 codecs

Personal i like Windows Media Player i used Shark Codec Shark007.net - Windows 7 Codecs - WMP12 Codecs with it and it works great.
