Windows 7 and mtp usb media players..
I got a annoyanse here i would like some help with. When i copy musicfiles(mp3 mostly) to my Sony player, Windows ask me if i want to recode them to a format the player can handle... Now, the thing is that it can already play the files i want to copy over to it, so why ask? Yes, i know they work as i have used the same files on the player before... they are from a old backup of the player library...
I have tried to install the software that Sony suply... dident help... I have looked for any setting on the device in devicemanager and in wmp12 device dialog... Nothing about enable or dissable any converting, just the quality of the converting... Oh.. another thing i dont use any other program then windows explorer to manage the files on the player.. No wmp12 synking, no Winamp or MediaMonkey so its only Windows 7 explorer...
Again... any tips on how to get windows to ignore the files and just do as i ask and copy them over?
How do i disable or remove this "feature", the copy and convert requester?
