    Software to rip audio from DVD to lossless files.


    I have quite a few music DVDs and would like to rip the audio to high quality (flac or wav) files. Quality is important to me.

    Any contenders? Freeware would be nice but prepared to buy good s/w.

My wife is redecorating our living room and has decided that my 800-odd CD's are unsightly and must go. So I thought I might rip them all to my PC. What is the best format to use that gives best quality sound but that I can also use with my FM modulator in my car? Mp3 at highest quality? Someone...
I just defragmented both c: and d: drives. D: is where I keep all my media. After defragmentation, both itunes and mediamonkey are completely unable to play audio files, and VLC can play video but there is no sound. Internet streaming plays as normal. Have I just destroyed my entire media...
In Mac OS Quick time does this (I can have 10 audios all playing simultaneously). WMP nor VLC seem capable of this. I need a solution to this for both Linux/ubuntu and Windows 7. Maybe there's a way to customize vlc or wmp? Thanks.
