Windows 7 - 1Click copy will Rip but won't write to blank DVD

I am using a new build Windows 7 computer, and I've got a head scratcher problem. When I use 1Click or DVD Clone 7 to make copy's of my movies, what happens is that the software (both) will rip the movie and write it to a temp file, but then I get a 'caching files'... and then the software hangs. It won't write the movie to a blank disk. I can hear the second DVD writer spin up but then...nothing. I see the activity light on the computer stay lit, and I have to reboot to get everything working again. It's not the software that is the problem as both exhibit the same hang, and I've tried clicking on everything I know, but alas to no effect. I use Window Media player, iTunes, and Ashampoo X, to make copys of my pictures, music, & files with no problems. I need a genius.
