    HD External (non-usb) TV Tuner

Alright, I'm get right on into it and cut to the chase.

I need an HD TV Tuner that will allow me to receive and play hd television on this samsung lcd monitor: ( 27€ Widescreen Touch of Color LCD Monitor P2770H - Premium - Monitors | SAMSUNG )

I have looked many places and cannot seem to find a reasonably priced one (I am indeed a college student and would like to keep it under 100 if possible but I could go up to 130-140 if I have to) that has a DVI or VGA or least preferably, HDMI, output and coaxial input... It is beginning to frustrate me at the lack of quality (from what I read) that most tuners have and it appears difficult to find an HD one..

So please offer any help you can!!

    Thanks!

Also, will i need a analog to digital conversion box? (sorry if this sounded stupid but with the new digital thing I am totally confused)

Edit: Is a digital converter box only for over the air signals? Because I will be connecting through a coaxial right in my dorm room.

    Final edit:

    Would products like these:

    http://us.kworld-global.com/main/pro...=28&prodid=253

    http://us.kworld-global.com/main/pro...=28&prodid=177

Work for just an in-wall cable? Or are they only for over-the-air? Does anyone know the quality of their products?

Alright, I thought i would post an update even though it has only been 20 hours or so haha..

I FINALLY figured out exactly what I want.

I need the tuner to have both NTSC (Analog Tuner) and Clear/Un-Encrypted QAM tuner with either DVI or HDMI output.

This item: ePVision.com - One-Stop place for Full HD 1080p HDMI A/V Switcher Digital HDTV Tuner Receiver Media Box, HD Media Player, HDTV Tuner Set top Box, HDTV PVR Box and more... seems like it would do the trick, but is a little more expensive than I was hoping to spend.

Hope this helps clear up my dilemma.

    A bunch of good ones:

    Newegg.com - TV Tuner Card,hauppauge

Just pick the one with the features you want. You don't need an extra converter box if you get a card with both an ATSC and clear QAM tuner.
