    Hi.
    Please post more info.
From where are you dragging photos?
Where do you want to drag photos?

To have something "elevated" means that you need administrative privileges to make certain changes.

    moving scanned photos

    Thanks for replying Gornot:
When I scan a photo into my computer it goes to a folder C:\users\DVD shop\My Pictures\My scans. I want to transfer photo (drag and drop) to a document or to a collage program. About the "elevate" thing; how do I become an administrator? My dummie Book is just confusing me. (I'm 84 and wasn't born with that 'nerd' Gene that you guys were born with). Thanks,

Lorraine welcome to seven forums . the title administrator means that you have the rights to change the settings, delete programes and call the shots basically.

To check if you have admin rights ,right click on the folder you are using, go to properties and then check the tab marked Security .this will open another small window there will be a list and it should say administrators (lorraine ) if that is the name you use for your account.

    Welcome to SevenForums Lorraine,

Let's try for the easy way out.

Right-click (use the right mouse button) on the photo.

    Choose Run as administrator

    Does this solve your problem?

I will be surprised but let's try this first.

    Welcome to the forum Lorraine.

Does the collage program you want to use have any kind of import setting, where you can browse to where the photo is stored ?
