How do I Make a SIMPLE Video with Text/Pictures?

    Hey,
I have this project im doing for school and i need to make a video with
pictures, music, and text. If you dont know what im talking about heres
an example i found on youtube:

YouTube - How To Hack Xbox Live Accounts *(LEGIT)*

(SORRY FOR THE VIDEO! I DO NOT WANT TO HACK ACCOUNTS OR ANYTHING
IT'S THE TYPE OF TEXT VIDEO IM TALKING ABOUT NOT XBOX LIVE ACCOUNTS AND IT WAS THE ONLY ONE I COULD FIND!
    )

Im trying to figure out how i would make a video like that, with pictures/text/music.
    What program do i need?

you could probably use the free windows live movie maker for that simple stuff.

i don't know for sure as i haven't used it, but i reckon it'll be a good program to learn and start.

    Movie-making magic

With Windows Live Movie Maker, you can quickly turn your photos and videos into polished movies. Add special effects, transitions, sound, and captions to help tell your story. And sharing with friends and family is easy—whether on the web, a computer, TV, mobile device, or a DVD.*

Do you use MS office or openoffice (which is free) because to make something simple like that you could just create a Powerpoint presentation which wouldn't require a video. And you could package the end result to run off any pc that doesn't even have the product you used to create it

I don't quite understand why you would require it on Youtube for a school project.
In Powerpoint all you need to do is create all the slides with text, pictures, audio etc to run automatically, then you package the presentation to run from CD, USB or HDD etc and basically it will run like a video from any PC

    Oh sorry i didnt explain.
Powerpoint will work for my project. Thats what i was going to use in the first place.
Now with the youtube thing i was just wondering how i would turn a Movie Maker file into
something that i could upload to youtube.
Its an off topic question lol.

    EDIT: i figured it out

Windows Live Movie Maker will work with power point. The ins-and-outs escape me but I'm sure that use of the help in both programs and the use of google search will provide the answers.
