Windows 7 - view multiple streaming videos at the same time?

Hello. I work for a small political party and I'd like to know if there's any software that allows you to view in tiles different video streams. I'm thinking something like viewing simultaneously in full-screen different tv news channels, and muting/unmuting by clicking on the appropriate tile. The only way to do this that I know of is to open in parallel as many instances of media player software as TV channels you want to see... I doesn't work for the intended purpose (there's some important breaking news and you want to see how the different TV channels are reporting the story, and where important players show up and are interviewed).
