Go to Libraries and make a special folder for you pictures.
What e-mail program do you use? Most have an insert or attach link you can click on and then grab the picture you want to add to you e-mail.

    jbird,
There are many different file naming techniques and I will trust you will identify your files in a way you'll remember.
When you insert your camera's memory card and locate the pictures to be copied and transfered. Highlight the pictures on the card or the entire folder and right click and select copy. Then left click on the windows start icon and left click on computer, select the destination drive you want your pictures on normally your "C" drive and it should have a folder created already named My Pictures. Double left click and open My Pictures at the top please see New Folder (left click) and create a new sub folder and then rename it, once that is done then left click on the new folder and then right click and paste the photo's in that newly created folder.
Now attaching photos for emailing. I will assume you are using Outlook. Once you have started your email see the paperclip icon and left click on it. Then search for the drive with My Pictures on it and double left click on it, then go to My Pictures and double left click on it. Then find your named file folder where your target picture resides and again double left click then single left click on the picture or you can hold the CTRL key down and select several. Please note depending on the size of these picture files you may be limited with the size and number of picture you can send in one email.
I'm not the best in wording these issues and hope this is clear enough. I find if you are shooting to email pictures to friends or to place a post on CraigsList or the like then I set my camera in advance on a low or lowest resolution and this makes emailing much faster and can send more images.
Good luck and let us know if you have more questions.

Here's one way to use Yahoo email How to Share Yahoo Photos by Email | eHow.com
    Or
Open the picture, right-click on it, choose Copy Image, then open an email to whomever you want to send the picture, then click on the body of the blank email, and paste.

In yahoo mail, just under subject you will see attach............this is when you go looking for you picture or documents you want to add to your e-mail.
Look in Libraries and your picture folder and click on it.
