can't play mpg file with win 7 x86

hi everyone :) i have 2 unit.. 1 laptop acer aspire with Windows 7 x86 and a desktop with Windows 7 x64... the video played very well with desktop while laptop failed... the file is in .mpg and size is not more that 700... i tried to play a file with a small size not more that 50mb and it played well... i used media player classic with k-lite and a vlc player... and also i tried to play it with wmp and was failed too... is there anyone experience like this? is this possible with version of OS? thanks and God bless all.

    Hi,
start Media Player Classic and go to Options, then change the video output renderer to EVR and restart MPC, then try to play the file.

    Hi,

I would look to uninstall k-lite then install Shark007 Windows 7 codecs and see if that solves the problem. I'm thinking it could be a codec issue as sample (50mb) files aren't coded the same as the full file.
