What video card do you have? If you have an Nvidia or ATI, check the control center, ATI-CCC or Nvidia-Nview and make sure there is no options to flip videos. There could possibly be an option that is checked that might cause videos to be inverted. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Made OS Windows 7 Build 7600|16384- 64bit CPU AMD Phenom II X4 810 - 2.61ghz Deneb Motherboard Asus M4A79T Deluxe Memory 4GB DDR3 Mushkin (1600 O.C. I would think it is the capture driver for your cam, unless it happens playing videos then i would suspect you installed a codec pack.
It is common for cam apps to include a setting to flip the video if needed. | My System Specs | | |

well, i checked all of the display settings in my nvidia control panel, and they all dealt with the lcd screen, not the webcam. and i looked and looked, and didn't find any webcam control panel. (btw, i have an nvidia 9800M GS card(?) on my laptop.

I'm not 100% sure but installing Shark007.net - Windows 7 Codecs might help. I've had issues before with Video playback being upside down & installing codecs fixed that issue.
Just a thought
