Ddowns: the thing is, Photo Gallery sees that device. It just says it's currently in use, but that's not true.
After I made this thread, I did a test. I did re-install Windows 7 and this time, without installing any software, I tried to connect my camcorder and capture something, but ... nothing happened - no 'import video' popup and, again, that 'device is in use' thingy.
So I got back to Vista (x64) and it's working great.
Nvanlaar: Thanks, that's already something, but x86 version won't work for me as I have 8GB of ram and I need most of it for my work.
Perhaps it has something to do with FireWire x64 drivers
, but then again Windows 7 found all the hardware and installed all drivers, so I thought that was not the case. It even detected my camcorder properly, so it's more like something is blocking it or something.
I really hope they will fix it - otherwise I won't be using Windows 7. It's just one thing that didn't work, but it was the most important thing for me, so ...
