Disable monitor going to sleep while watching embedded video

I like keeping my power settings to turn off hard drives and monitors when I am not using my computer to save power. But when watching embedded video (like youtube) windows thinks I am not doing anything and kicks in the power savings effectivly turning off my monitor.

Now, some time ago I installed some software that had an option (or a feature) that prevented this. I was happy with it, enjoyed watching videos in my browser and forgot about it. Last week I had to do a clean install of my system, and now I am confronted again with this turning off my monitor whenever I am watching a movie/video.

For the life of me I cannot remember what that piece of software was that had this option/feature.

This is probably a long shot, but does anyone know?

just set your time outs higher.
Youtube vids are rarely longer than 10 minutes.

Do you really think it would be healthy for your hard drive to power down and up again in 10 minute intervals ??

Seriously...think about that specific setting a little more

Thanks for the concern , but where do I state that my HDs and my monitor are set to 10 minutes? I have my monitor set to 5 and my hard drives to 45. The 5 minutes I have now set (for the time being) to 30 to indeed circumvent the problem. Hopefully until I can track down that piece of software I had.

Seems like I read too much into your post... sorry about that !
Why not simply use 2 different power plans and switch between them via shortcut if you want to watch movies etc?
    Have a look here
Create a Shortcut or Hotkey to Switch Power Plans

    NP .
I guess I could do that. Still I was hoping to find my old solution since it worked without having to click anything.
Perhaps I'll just give it a rest and hopefully I'll come across it again some day
