WMP12 - WMA, MP3 "Sting" in Album Art

I have seen this pop up a few times and have no idea why and/or how to make it stick.

Occassionally, the file type is in the lower-right corner of the album art. This has been added on the fly by WMP12.

Does anyone know how to configure this?

Hi, psills and welcome to the forums.

This is indeed a somewhat very rare occasion in WMP12. We already had a user with the same "issue" some time ago, use the forum search to try and locate the topic and see if it was resolved. As far as I know, there is no obvious option/setting in WMP that can resolve this, as most users generally have problems with adding album art tags into files through WMP12, or having WMP read them in the first place.

Heres the fix.

Right-Click on Choose Columns in header and make sure "Include file extension in default sort order" is not checked.

I had done that before a while ago and just found it today, Why are simple thingd hard to notice?
