    Anoying hanging Problem when playing flv files


    Hi guys,,

    i use K-Lite Codec Pack to play all type of videos ,,, but i have strange problem,, when i want to play any flv file,,, the explorer stops responding.. i am gong to explain what really happens (suppose their is a folder named downloads in my documents,in which flv videos are present, when i enter the folder ((and do not click any flv file)) still my explorer stops responding by entering the folder in which the flv files are present) i am using ((WINDOWS 7 x32 ultimate))

    i have tried installing windows again and again. but this problem still persists.

    can any1 help ??

    Hi sanxks and welcome to SF
    It's just a hunch, but from what I read I assume the explorer hangs while it tries to generate/display thumbnails for those FLV clips.
    What you could try : set the folder view for that folder to detail, list or small icon. (all three don't display thumbnails) to see if that changes anything.
    Or go into the K-lite configuration and un-check the thumbnail generation for FLV files.

While i find the latest WMP (in build 7077) play my HD files better than MPc with CoreAVC i find it locks up every time. It will play the file but i cant stop it or even close it and have to resort to ending the procces. Anyone got any ideas on what causes this and how i can get around it....
