    Play Pause In Slideshow

Just noticed that you dont get the play pause buttons in slideshow anymore. Is it a bug? or they have intentionally kept it out?

I've noticed that too. You can right click and select pause and then use the arrow keys or mouse clicks to move through the pics. Kind of a pain to have to right click again to start the show though.

Since the help on slide show says that it's all automatic and then explains about the right click menu it is by design. Of course I read the help after seeing the right click menu. Was hoping there was something there about getting the controls back, but nada.

I've just notice that too, you have to right-click then select play/pause. I've not used slideshow in Windows 7 so can't say when the functions were removed

Don't have a clue why, but I don't like it either.

Don't you have Windows Live Photo Gallery?

Just checked in Vista and there are no slide show controls there either. Must have been photo gallery we were thinking of. I'm not planning on downloading photo gallery, but that is a solution.

I have come straight from Xp ,and this feature was there. Why would one download another app if windows has the same thing built in. I just want to view my pictures in full screen and want them to change whenever i want.

No... It's not. (A solution.) There are a lot of other controls missing also. About 2-3 times a year, I need to sort and edit literaly hundreds of pictures. The features I had in the XP version helped me do that. I have lost all functionality except to view the pictures. I don't know about the Vista features, because after a short trial I stayed as far away from it as possible. Why are so many of the tools I use being ripped out! I wonder what $200.00 third party software I will have to buy now, that dosn't do the same job I did in XP for free, and better!

I feel ripped off. The solution is put the controls back. Why were they taken out?!!!

I actualy LIKE 7! Even though it was built off the Vista platform, it seems to be very stable. The learning curve is VERY STEEP. It torqued me that such sweeping changes were made without apperent reason or regard to previous users; but seems on the surface, worth the effort to relearn. The more I get into it however, the more advanced functionality I find has been either moved stripped away. If it dosn't do the job, all the graphics in the world will not make a difference.
