    Windows Photo Viewer

My Jpegs in Windows Photo Viewer look weird. The color isn't right. I remember I had problems with this before but don't remember exactly what I did to fix it.
    Something under Color Management profiles?

    Thanks...

    Quote from our member, Swarfega:
Its to do with the color management system.

    Heres how to correct it:

    1. open control panel
    2. type color in the search bar and click on the green color management link
    3. in the dialog that appears tick the box under your monitor name which says "use my settings for this device"
    4. click on the add button
    5. There will appear a list of color profiles. You want to select sRGBIEC611966-2.1 and click ok
    6. click on the set as default profile button and then close button

Repeat this procedure for each monitor you may have.

    Problem Corrected!

Thanks Guys! I kept playing with it and finally found the answer around Noon time and its fixed again. I'm not exactly sure why it changed on me unless it was when I installed my sons 4870 x 2 ATI card to test it. But I bet that was it. Seems Last time it happened was when I put the 5770 ATI card in my machine.

    Thanks, Have a good day!

glad it's working now, and well done for reporting back.

you may want to check windows update, it may try to foist the profile onto you again.

I did give that a thought right after I posted the last message, I'll watch out for that.

    Thanks Again!
