[SOLVED]Real Player live streaming problem - settings issue?

I've just reinstalled my Windows 7 (purely for speed), but while my previous installation of Real Player had no problem downloading live streams for recording, I'm stuck this time around to figure out how to get past a new error msg.

I go to File/Open & put in the stream name - this particular one is shown in the msg below. When I try to connect I immediately get a popup box with this msg:

"HTTPFSys: Connection to the server at http://stream.aomin.org:8000/dl.m3u is lost."

I've tried it with 3 different versions of Real Player but get the identical msg every time, so appreciate it's not necessarily the Player's settings.

I have a Belkin Play router & am using Microsoft SE as my antivirus program and use both Firefox & IE9 as browsers. I've no understanding of UDP/TCP & ports etc & really don't want to start meddling with them until I know that's what I really have to do, & also get specific instructions etc.

Anyone any ideas on what steps I might try taking to fix this as I'd really like to get it sorted, and as it did work before, I know it should be able to do so again.

    Thanks guys.

Just in case anyone else should ever have the problem & need to figure out the (ridiculously easy) solution - still took me an age to figure it out!! It's all to do with File Types. Once you go into the file types & select either All if that suits, or specifically those relating to m3u files etc, the program will work perfectly :)

Have you reset your Preferences settings after your new download? Could you be having a codec or driver problem?

I would strongly suggest you contact RealPlayer for some help. You can go to:
