Internet Radio transfer to MP3 player.

I will be the first to admit it, I am not to savvy when it comes to digital terminology. So with that, I must perhaps ask some obvious questions.
I recently bought a Coby 8Gb MP3 player. I bought it with the intention of transferring Internet Radio music into it and then play it in my vehicle via an FM transmitter.
So, I researched the web and came across lots of sites that claim to record Internet Radio and also allow syncing of the files in order to transfer the same recording into the MP3 players.
I have been able to record no problem. I used Freecorder and it worked real good.I see all the files I recorded sitting in Windows 7 Windows Media Player. They all play and I can hear them playing in Windows Media. However, when I follow the directions from Freecorder and Coby manual, I transfer all the files to the player, but, they show up as “File does not exist” and of course won’t play. What’s up? The files show up as MP3 in Windows Media. Do all Internet Radio files have some glitch attached so people can’t transfer? Please help if you can.

    Thank You

Depends on your player, maybe ?

for example I use a sony minidisc rh1 to record and listen, but i cannot use the sync option in WMP12 because they will transfer but not playback - i have to use sony sonicstage (specific software for the rh1)

right click on the sound file - what is it? mp3? bitrate? DRM?

Internet Radio transfer to MP3 player

    Music\Playlists\Wed Dec 29 14;10;40 2010.mp3, bit rate 128kbps.

Here is a copy from the properties of the file. Like I said the files play in WMP and Freecorder and I caneven sync the files but they won't playfrom the MP3 player. I figured for sure if they played on WMP and showed up as mp3 in the file it would be a cinch. But I don't know enough about it hence this query from the forum.
    Thanks for your quick reply

Never used freecorder before. Is it possible it records with Digital Rights Management - the microsoft copy protection on music files?

Apart from that I can't help, sorry!

    internet radio

Thats ok. I did manage to burn some files to a cd. I did get i file loaded into the MP3 player so that tells me that the problem is ME! I am a pragmatist when it comes to this stuff. I will eventually understand it but need to have hands on as I do. My grand kids will no doubt be able to sort me out. Thanks and Happy New Year.
