Windows 7: Problem with Photo Thumbnails

Hi,

I've done a lot of searching through the net and even these forums without much success on this topic. Here's my issue: Since going to Windows 7, browsing through my photo directories both locally (on HD) and on the LAN -- a lot of photos are just showing the default thumbnail image instead of the actual photo. Hitting F5 doesn't really help at all. If I click or highlight a photo that has the default thumbnail, and then hit F5, it will show up properly.



I've tried a suggestion of blowing away the thumbnail cache by turning off that function in the registry and folder view options, and then turning it on again. Full reboots, and even a full re-installation of Windows.

Any suggestions? Many thanks in advance!

Go to ;

"Control Panel" --> "Folder Options" --> "View"



Choose the options you need and close the menu.

In Explorer go to "View"



Choose "Extra Large Icons".

You should now see the images you want to see in image folders;




If there are some images you still can't see, then you may need an add-on in order to display them.
