Kaz, welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

Have you checked to see whether your MP3 player is recognised by Windows? You should get a pop-up telling you when you plug the player into a USB port.

If your MP3 player is recognised, have you tried opening Windows Explorer and physically copying the MP3 files from your Music Library to your MP3 player.

If not, exactly what method are you trying?

Is your music player configured for a USB connection using MTP or MSC?

MSC is what will trigger the popup advising of the Windows drive letter assigned. You also MUST do the "safely remove hardware" action before disconnecting the USB cable.

MTP doesn't assign a Windows drive letter. When finished with your maintenance, you can just pull the USB cable. There's no "safely remove hardware" needed as Windows handles MTP differently than MSC.
