green tinge problem

    green tinge problem


    i have a problem when i look at pictures in the my pictures folder there is a green tinge to my photos.

    when looking at say a snow scene parts of the picture have a green speckle appearence.

    my monitor is connected to pc via hdmi cable which i have checked
    can anyone help

    Found This on the web. Might help:
    Open up display in control panel, click on "change display settings", click on "Advanced settings", click on "Color Management", click on the "Color Management "bar, click the box which says, "Use my settings for this device", click on "Advanced" tag, find "Calibrate display" and click on it, follow the menu instructions for calibrating your monitor. Save the new calibration settings.

    yes it is just photos.
    specs are monitor is a viewsonic
    i am running windows 7 64 bit.
    i have tried calibrate colour ,still have problem.

    Can you use a digital camera to capture this problem, as sometimes it isn't obvious any other way such as with the Snipping Tool.

    after looking on other forum.
    problem was caused by windows essentials 2011
    uninstalled it , problem fixed...

    That was my point Dwarf!! If it doesn't have a green tinge then there is something amiss. I find it very unlikely to just be Photos!!
