Windows Media Player ONLY: slight distortion when playing movies
This is not a big problem rather an annoyance. I noticed that when I play a NON Streaming video, any kind whether it's recorded on a camera or video recorder, Windows Media Player 11 plays the audio with a slight scratch or distortion.
I have tested this out with Real Player, Quicktime, and DIVX player just to name a few. The audio is fine on ALL but Windows Media Player.
If I play audio, music on WMP there is no problem or if I stream a movie online using WMP, no issue as well.
It seems like this may be a video/audio codec issue with WMP? Is there a way of narrowing down the culprit(s)?
