Windows 7: Problem with viewing pictures and videos.

Im having this problem with my laptop. when I view a picture in paint, its fine. In the browser its fine, but if i use windows previewer its messed up.

Also Megavideo does the same thing as the previewer where it make it black and white and moves it to the right. youtube and windows media player work fine.

I took a screen shot of a picture in the previewer and in a folder view.

there shouldn't be that black bar on the right picture either, that was a full screen shot

Why don't you try to run a System File Check to see if everything's in order?

Open an Elevated Command Prompt (write "cmd" without quotes in start, right click it and click run as administrator)

In the cmd window write "sfc.exe /scannow" again, without quotes, hit enter and let it check the system files, if there's an anomaly, it'll try to fix it.

Do that and report back, please

scaned once have one problem that was fixed, I rebooted, scanned again and it says no problems found now. The original issue is not fixed.

Rightclick the desktop and choose 'Screen resolution'
In the box next to Resolution:, choose the recommended setting.

its already set to recommended
