    Best Free Video Conversion

Looking for the best, fastest video conversion program..
With Cuda would be nice, been trying a bunch.. but lots are fake or come with open.candy crap, or other "legal malware" ...
Tried VLC, but even selecting the right options, codecs for video and sound, it's not working right lining up the audio to the video... converting bluray MKV's to MP4/MP3 for my TV to play.. or for my PS4 to play properly... as even tho my PS4 will play MKV's, it doesn't play all audio codecs.. and when converted, it doesn't line up, with VLC...
    thanks for any help.

I use Handbrake to convert stuff to mp4 - it's quite fast. There's lots of presets, but I usually set the parameters manually - typically square pixels (not anamorph), keep aspect ratio, h.264, fps same as source, 2 pass, 1500kbps, stereo aac audio. Handbrake can also autocrop black bars.

    no malware etc.

Everyone has their favorite - ask 10 people, get 10 answers.

That's odd. I just tested the x86 installer from the Handbrake site in a clean VM. There was no open candy nonsense during install, and after install a Malwarebytes scan didn't find anything.

Maybe you have an unresolved open candy problem on your machine.

The open.candy problem came from me not checking what website came up to download handbrake...
I did check again, and found the authoer website and that version was clean..
