Windows 7: no play file with mpg format

no play file with mpg format

i installed K-Lite Mega Codec Pack v4.5 64bit and Windows 7 Codec Pack v2.8.0 but when i play file no sound.
plz help me.

What is the file extension of the file you are trying to play? What program are you using to play the file? Why did you find the need to download all those codecs?

the file extension of the file is mpg and trying windows media player , KMPlayer , jetAudio and PowerDVD 9 to play but not useful.

Did you try to play the file before installing these packs of codecs as they should not have been necessary to play a MPG file.? Where did the file come from? Did you download it and if so from where?
