    Movie Data

I have noticed that some of the movie DVDs that I have list a number that I don't understand. Here is an example from one:

    Feature Run Time: 3 hours 19 minutes - Color - 1965 - 1007131
I understand everything, except the last item...1007131. I assume that this is some kind of reference number, but what?

I believe in that scenario it's known as the media id number.
Though I don't really know what use it has.

That may be true, the only reason that I'm asking is because I'm cataloging movies, and thought it might have some use. However, it would seem that the barcode is of more use than that.

EDIT: I Googled media ID, and that seems to refer to identifying blank media, rather than movies.
