    solved video thumbnails error

    hi guys even i was suffering from the same problem but i got the solution

    solution:
    open "my computer"
    goto "tools"->"folder options"
    under "view" tab
    click "apply to all folders"

    this will solve your problems. Whenever you open a folder with video file in it, it will be viewed as tiled and you won't get any such error.

    My Fix

    Hi, I was having the same problem, my Explorer was crashing if I even just highlighted an .mkv file. I finally figured it had to do with divx which had defaulted to open my mkv files and I couldn't change it because everytime I tried Explorer would crash. I finally changed the default program through control panel, and it could play the file but would still crash when opening the file. So I went and uninstalled divx player and voila! Explorer doesn't crash anymore and now I can run mkv files. So I'd check to see if you have divx player installed then uninstall it.
