    Unable to view JPG Files from Zip


    Hi Anyone having this issue?
    I am unable to view my jpg files directly from my 7zip files.

    help.

    nope..no problem here, Double click on the .7z, double click on the .jpeg..there is the picture in an external viewer. Works here for all types of archives.
    What program do you have associated with opening JPGs?

    I am unable to open my *.zip files from 7zip on my win7. Are you able to do that?

    It sounds like your file associations might need to be fixed. I have no trouble opening .jpgs from a .zip in 7zip, except if the zip file is password protected.

    I guess you should try reinstalling 7zip, or get an alternative like PeaZIP, idk. your choice :)

    Reinstall done but still cant open directly on 7zip.
    I heard that 7zip has this issue whereby they canot open directly for jpg.

    what is the version of 7zip that you are using

    mine worked fine in 32 bit windows 7. Now that I got 64 bit, I believe I downloaded the 64 bit 7zip and I have a similar problem. the 7 zip file refuses to associate with 7 zip; it associates with an unknown file type and 7 zip is not a choice presented. I think there's another place to tell it that 7 zip is the program, but it absolutely refuses to associate. However I can right click I believe and tell it to open with 7 zip and it works. Weird.

    Hi armyslowrdr,

    I tried in my virtual environment 32bit, 7zip cant work when i try to double click the jpg file in it. Its weird.
