OK - how do you associate one program to say view a .jpg file (default action) and another one to edit it, and another one to print it. This was EASY in XP - I cannot find a way to do this in W7 without editing the registry!
How hard is it to right click on the file, then click open with and select the program you want?

That only associates a SINGLE action for an extension. I want to view .jpg files with Window Picture Viewer, edit it with paint.net, and print it with paint. That was EASY with XP. Impossible in W7 without editing the registry.
Yeah, I have tried multiple utillities, Creative Elements Power Tools, Default Programs Editor, and File Types Manager - and they don't show ALL the actions I get in the rt click context - i.e they show Open and Print, but not Edit. Even the registry entries aren't the same, and the registry locations for .jpg or jpgfile don't show all the context entries available for the .jpg extension that DO show up in the context meny - must be hidden away somewhere in a class setting. What a bitch! Thanx Brink!
And I'm almost sure that the actions You mentioned was not also available in Win XP.

I forgot about that, but it's Edit instead of Modify in the context menu for me of image files to open it directly in Paint instead.
You can also click on Print in the context menu to directly print the image to your default printer.
