Stretch videos in WMP ?

I just bought a 20 inch widescreen.

I have a few old vids that are in 640 480 resolution. Is there any setting I can use to stretch ?

WMP will always try to keep the aspect ratio of the original video. With WMP I do not believe it is possible. I think you can with Media Player Classic and VLC. A Guy

I did run into Media Player Classic through wikipedia. It had a sourceforge link.

None of it is english, nor even spanish. It was in a foreign language..had to Shift+Delete it..not so sure where's the right version

MPC is english by default? This is the homepage:

Media Player Classic - Home Cinema - Video Player

I got it originally, and it is updated often, with the K-lite Codec Pack. It will play most any video with these codecs.

Free-Codecs.com : Download K-Lite Codec Pack 7.1.0 FULL, K-Lite Codec Pack 7.1.0 STANDARD, K-Lite Codec Pack 7.1.0 BASIC : K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools

Many people prefer VLC , which doesn't need additional codecs.
