Windows 7: .wmv to DivX conversion issues

.wmv to DivX conversion issues

Good morning folks.

I'm trying to convert a video that I exported from Windows Live Movie Maker. The file's current format is .wmv. I want to convert it to divx, but I'm having major issues doing so.

WMV file size is about 840Mb.

I tried the Divx Plus Converter, but it stalls. Sometimes it reports a #24 error. avi2divx doesn't work either. It will complete its process, but then it reports the video is corrupt half way through when I play it.

I'd really appreciate any help I can get at this point.

Thanks in advance!

Most of this type seem to just be full of all sorts of junk but this is simple, clear and works straight away.

Thanks for the recommendation Ambimom
