Windows 7 - Windows Live Photo Gallery

Hi All,

No matter how many times I direct WLPG to gather photos from my photo library, none of them ever appear in WLPG.

I can open them directly with WLPG from the file folder, but I cannot edit them in WLPG.

I have a feeling this has something to do with permsissions, but I cannot figure out what that would be.

If this is the wrong place for this, I apologize, but ask to be directed to the right place.

Sorry, I do not have Live Photo gallery to verify, but here is my guess.

If you are talking about standard Win 7 feature called ''Libraries", those are not actual folders, but rather a "virtual folders", which could show content of several folders from different locations at the same time.

Please try to import those pictures from actual locations. To find out actual location of the file/folder you need to right click that file/folder and check it's properties.

Thanks for the reply. That doesn't work either. I gather that something about those folders has prevented them from being accessed by WLPG.

I found a work around. Not ideal, but it works. I reset the libraries, and copies all of the photos to the "public" folder (which actually showed up in WLPG). That worked.

If you or anyone knows what prevented the folders from being read by WLPG (and I looked all over the place), I'd be grateful.
