Windows 7: Server Execution failed

I'm having errors with Windows media Player and Media Center. I get a message that says server execution failed and Windows media player wont open. Media Center will open but wont play audio files. my hands are tied unless I can find some way to fix this

Here's a quick fix, have a look in network and sharing center and go to network connections, right click your primary method of connection and click on IPV4 settings, in there should be an option for advanced settings, click that and if you see any information other than automatically detect settings then delete it and check the automatically detect settings box, this is an error caused by someone using incorrect proxy settings within windows, and windows media player and media center will encounter errors upon realising this, hope it solves the issue for you.
