try this Photo-Freeware.net - waterMark V2 Download

I tried messing with Gimp but found it very complicated - not intuitive at all.

I install it but it can't rotate text in 45 degree, so if you know how do i do it?

Paint.net is the simpler to use.

Paint.NET will be sufficient for that. Just create the text in a new layer. Rotate it as desired and then merge the layer down with as much transparency as you need.
