    Gif files doesnt work


    Hi , i have a problem.
    Gif Files doest work on Windows photo viewer, can anyone Please tell me wats wrong?

    Hello Teresa, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    A gif file will only view as a still image with Windows Photo View as it's default program. Instead, you should can set the gif file extension to have Internet Explorer to be the current default program in Default Programs so that the gif file will open in Internet Explorer animated.

    You can also get specific animated gif programs which will easily enable you to view animations, re/compile frames, etc - possibly a better option than Internet Explorer *if* you really need that support for the format...

    It's a pity the latest W7 build of Picture Viewer doesn't handle them properly...

    why microsoft dosn't fix the gif problem in win 7?
    but it works on win XP photo viewer!?
