Record video from camcorder to PC?

Hello, I have a MiniDV video camers, the only output it has is 3.5mm jack to R/W/Y composite, My mobo is an Asus P5Q Pro Turbo so have o way to plug directly in, does anyone know of a cheap way to got the job done?

Have had a google and seen the below composite to usb, anyone know if they work?

What you are describing is a capture card. they sell them all over, you just need to find one with the right plugs on it.

Thanks, do you know if the USB things are any good or should i go for a PCI card?

If you aren't afraid to unplug the computer and crack the case I suggest a pci card.
They are just generally more stable and have less problems.
Make sure the one you get states it's fully compatible with win 7 x64
